The most important thing you can do is make sure the person is safe.
If you are aware of an individual (child or adult) with disabilities who is being abused, neglected, or you feel something unusual has happened or is happening to a person, please report this information as soon as possible to the Muskingum County Board of Disabilities, During business hours (weekdays between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM) call 740-453-4829. On evenings, weekends, or holidays call our emergency number at
1-800-881-8790. These reports can be made anonymously if you choose.
Who must report:

All providers who are contracted, certified or licensed to serve persons with developmental disabilities are required to report MUIs to the county board

All county board staff and department staff are also required to report MUIs

Anyone paid to provide Medicaid waiver services must report MUIs
